From the time he started his ministerial responsibilities in 1991under N. Janardhan Reddy's cabinet till today, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana has diligently worked hard, in which ever capacity he served, to implement welfare and developmental programs for the weaker sections and backward classes. Kanna Lakshmi Narayana has a very clear vision about the kind of development required for the people of his constituency and he has identified those important areas right at the start of his political innings.
First in that select list is Education and he accords a very high priority to it; he has provided opportunity to children of his constituency by starting Junior colleges in Krosur and Thallur and thus bringing higher education within reach.
Under his watchful eyes, the constituency witnessed unprecedented progress in medical and health sector and many health care centers were opened in the form of Primary Health Center buildings.

Second is Agriculture and has introduced revolutionary development programs and foremost among them was solving the irrigation problem. With progressive policies, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana was able to provide several thousands of acres with irrigation facilities by getting funds to repair and modernize the canals. 18 big lift irrigation schemes were completed and it has helped in providing irrigation facilities to 40,525 acres.And this was only possible because he served and implemented the various policies. He further helped the farmers by ensuring timely supply of seeds, fertilizers and getting financial assistance to purchase agricultural pump sets. Registering unprecedented development in the history of Andhra Pradesh, Pedakurapadu has become a role model for other constituencies. Some other major programs initiated have been housing schemes for weaker sections under Indiramma Phase I and II. In total 28,680 houses were sanctioned and have been completed till date.

Next on his to-do-list was solving the perennial problem of drinking water. He initiated several steps to resolve the health problems, which people of his constituency suffered, due to high rate of fluoride content in drinking water in several villages.
Kanna Lakshmi Narayana got funds - Rs 3.50 crores - sanctioned for Community Protected Drinking Water Scheme for surrounding villages of Bellamkonda and thus ensured that residents of 17 villages got protected drinking water thus improving the health of the villagers. Apart from this he also got sanction for 300 bore wells in several villages and protected drinking water schemes were implemented in many villages.
Kanna Lakshmi Narayana still harbors that same burning desire to serve people with humbleness and sincerity. He still dreams to see the people of his state, irrespective of caste, creed, color and religion, prosper and realize the universal dream of having a Swarna Andhra Pradesh.

Kanna Lakshmi Narayana intends to continue serving people and as a Minister he is striving very hard to provide many employment opportunities to the youth hailing from all parts of Andhra Pradesh. As a Minister of Industries, he has the capacity to bring many industries to various parts of AP and generate development as well as create jobs. He understands that the only way poverty can be eradicated and a honorable life is guaranteed to all the sections of the society.
Kanna Lakshmi Narayana is a model politician, who through his dedication and perseverance has proven that road to success in politics is only through honestly serving the people and repaying their faith by trying to sincerely fulfill their various just demands, hopes and dreams. He has shown that he means business and his lasting success in Politics is a testament to his vision, policies, efforts and intention.Kanna Lakshmi Narayana is the true son of the soil and a leader of the masses.
